Interlochen Arts Camp

The music composition program at Interlochen Summer Arts Camp involves orchestration, music theory, music history, and general composition skill lectures. Each student must submit two compositions over the six-week period, which will be performed by students and faculty within the Interlochen community. Additionally, students have four opportunities to have their pieces performed at a recital. Composition students also have the chance to meet living composers and attend performances by large ensembles/groups such as the World Youth Symphony Orchestra (WYSO), Interlochen Philharmonic (IP), World Youth Wind Symphony (WYWS), and World Youth Honors Choir (WYHC).

Carnegie Hall

Nora Moor has performed with her high school orchestra twice at Carnegie Hall's Festival of Orchestras. Their performance at the 2024 Festival of Orchestras2024 Festival of Orchestras, included pieces such as Sergey Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64: Dance of the Knights (arr. Dario Gadosa), Florence Price's Symphony No. 1 in E Minor: 3. Juba (arr. Jay Bocook), and Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring: Variations on a Shaker Melody.
